Version 3.0 of Bugzilla, the Mozilla bug tracking software, has been released. The Bugzilla 3.0 release announcement lists some of the main new features added to this version, including custom fields, support for the Apache mod_perl module, per-product permissions, an XML-RPC interface and the ability to create and edit bugs by email.
The Bugzilla 3.0 page includes download links, a complete list of new features in Bugzilla 3.0 and the Bugzilla 3.0 Release Notes. A demo installation of Bugzilla 3.0 allows users to test the new version. The Bugzilla installation used by the Mozilla project has not yet been upgraded.
