A report by Microsoft security researcher Jeff Jones has thrown down the gauntlet by releasing a report (PDF format) that challenges the assumption that Firefox is inherently more secure than Internet Explorer. Mozilla takes issue with Jones' methodology and Microsoft's lack of transparency.
