Now is a good time to switch to Firefox as Mozilla, the organisation behind the open-source browser, last week finally released version 3.0.Firefox 2.0, which was released in October 2006, was disliked for being a lot bigger than its predecessor, and was perceived as a lot slower. Wendy M Grossman wrote in Technology Guardian shortly after its release: "Is software bloat an inevitable consequence of increasing age and success?"
