Bridging the gap between the desktop and the Internet is becoming easier and easier. In this video I show you how to create an application that looks and feels like a desktop application but runs on a typical Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP stack. The application has a back end database, is written in PHP, and uses Mozilla XUL instead of HTML. I also discuss how to use Mozilla Prism to create a streamlined version of the application that will run outside of a typical Web browser.

The Vietnamese language pack for Firefox 2 contains inserted code to load remote content.  This code is the result of a virus infection, but does not contain the virus itself.  This usually results in the user seeing unwanted ads, but may be used for more malicious actions.

The good news is that Firefox 3 does include full support for color profiles. The bad news is that color profile support will be turned off by default when Firefox 3 ships. I’ll explain why this is the case a little later.
